To sum up, Camille has over 165 PADI IDC programs under his belt. During these 165 IDC’s he taught a good 600 IDC candidates. Still he maintains a very high passing grade of his students during the PADI IE. Most importantly, he not only helps you to succeed during the PADI IE. His experience covers a lot more areas. For instance, he taught and certified  candidates in over 2100 PADI Instructor Specialty courses. Well over 900 EFR related courses. Plus 50 IDC Staff Instructor courses. He also works at a local hyperbaric chamber as an operator and tender.

The February 2019 PADI IE

First of all, during the PADI IDC, you’ll learn the complete PADI System of diver education. Secondly we will look into standards and procedures. Further we look into effective academic teaching presentations. We also look into teaching in confined water and conducting open water training dives. Plus lots of additional related topics and workshops are added to our PADI Instructor Development course. This is the real deal!

First successfully participate in and complete our PADI Instructor Development Course. After that you gain access to the PADI IE. During this two day evaluative program, you will be examined by a PADI Examiner.

Our PADI IDC programs include a few extras! Firstly, we offer a two day prep IDC course. Secondly we also include the Nitrox Instructor course. As long as you are already certified as a Nitrox diver. Thirdly the Emergency Oxygen Provider Instructor course is also included for free in our IDC. On top of that, all boat fees, tanks and weights use during the IDC are all included in your course fee. To complete this, we also offer you free accommodation in a dorm room. Last but not least, you can enjoy free breakfast in our restaurant. These are both for the duration of the IDC and the PADI IE. Did I mention the internship yet?

Prerequisites for the PADI Instructor Development Course

You must:

  • Be certified as a PADI Divemaster or equivalent.
  • Be a certified diver for at least 6 months.
  • Have 60 logged dives that include experience in night, deep and navigation diving in order to participate in our PADI Instructor Development Course. You will need 100 logged dives to be able to participate in the Instructor Exams.
  • You will need to have CPR and First Aid training within the last 24 months.
  • Have a Medical Statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months. The medial needs to state that you’re fit to dive.
  • Be at least 18 years old.

Camille’s emphasis at PADI IDC-Philippines is on personalized training. He works generally with small groups. He conducts all parts of the IDC training himself. As a result he is available at all times during the complete IDC. This again allows for lots of personal and individual attention.

Since 1999 Camille is living in South East Asia.  During this time he works in the dive industry on Malapascua and the South East Asian region. Among others, in Thailand, Indonesia and South Korea. Plus other locations in the Philippines. As a result he has build an extensive knowledge of the South East Asian dive industry. This came in handy when he started conducting IDC’s around Thailand in 2003. Camille expanded internationally in 2011.

Subsequently he now schedules bi-monthly IDC programs each year on Malapascua in the Philippines.

Camille taught an IDC on Malapascua in the Philippines which coincided with the first ever PADI IE on Malapascua being conducted.

Moreover he is also fluent in English, German and his native Dutch. He can speak French as well. In addition,  language assistance in various languages is on offer.
